Set in the magnificent Dining Hall of Corpus Christi College, this exclusive banquet promises an unforgettable experience of fine dining, live music, and inspiring conversation. The evening will feature an address by H.E. Mr. Jeroen Cooreman, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to the UK. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to network and dine in an enchanting venue!

The venue

The Dinner will take place on February 24, in the Dining Hall of Corpus Christi College (Trumpington St, Cambridge CB2 1RH). Founded in 1352, Corpus is mostly famous for their spectacular Chronophage clock, which also serves to decorate our invites!

Booking procedure

In order to secure your spot, you need to do both of the following:

Please book a ticket (and that of any potential guests) from our web store.
Fill out this sign up form, where you can indicate dietary requirements, seating preferences and whether you are a Member and/or a student.

Your place will have been confirmed once you have received an email saying that we have received your filled out form, after buying a ticket.

Tickets sale for this event has ended. If you have not yet received a confirmation email that we received your form, please check your spam inbox for an email, or contact us!

Tentative Schedule

Aside from the Dinner itself, several other (optional) activities are organised. We kindly invite you to join as many as you can make! All guests should have received a copy of the programme in the final confirmation email.

13.00 - 15.00: Tour of Cambridge and some of its Colleges for those who are visiting from elsewhere, led by the Fayat students in Cambridge.
15.00 - 17.00: Time to get changed into Black Tie attire.
17.00 - 18.45: Lecture on Bruegel by Prof. Dr. Tine Meganck (VUB) in Trinity Hall, followed by drinks hosted by the General Representative of Flanders (register below).
19.00 - 19.45: Drinks reception with Belgian beers in the Old and New Combination Room of Corpus Christi College.
19.45 - 22.45: 3 course dinner in the Dining Hall of Corpus Christi College.
23.00 - ........ : Afterparty at Revolution Cambridge.

FAQ

"I myself am a current student / member, and want to bring a guest who isn't. Do they still pay full price?"

Yes, unless that person satisfies the student / member criterion themselves, they will pay the regular price.

"How do I prove my student status?"

University students are asked to provide their University e-mail address in the sign up form. This enables us to check the student status, if required.

"I am a Member of the Oxford University Belgian Society, which ticket should I buy?"

Members of OUBS can buy a ticket from the separate BTD 2025 - Student + OUBS Member category. This ticket sale will go live Tuesday 28/1.

"Is there a limited number of tickets?"

Yes, all tickets in the discounted categories are capped at certain (reasonable) numbers for budgeting reasons. General tickets are only limited by the capacity of the Dining Hall. We expect everyone who signed up for CUBS Membership prior to the ticket release to be able to buy a discounted ticket.

"Is Black Tie attire mandatory?"

No, but we encourage everyone to adhere to the dress code as well as they can. For gentlemen: black dinner suit, white dress shirt and black bow tie. For ladies: cocktail dress or floor-length dress.
